More than 18,000 professional fine craft artists throughout the United States and Canada nominated nearly 700 galleries, retail stores, arts nonprofits, museums and guilds for the inaugural Top Retailer Awards.
Fox places in top 20 percent
Broker/owner Jeff Fox, of the Assist-2-Sell real estate franchise in Kailua-Kona, was recently recognized as one of the top 20 percent performing Assist-2-Sell offices on the nation for 2005. The award was announced from Assist-2-Sell, Inc. headquarters in Reno, Nev.
The top 20 percent performing offices are chosen from over 530 Assist-2-Sell offices throughout the United States and Canada.
Shell Vacations announces promotions
Shell Vacations Club Hawaii has promoted several sales executives at its Hawaii resorts.
After serving as sales director for the Kauai Coast Resort for the past five years, Matt Ozelie has been named regional director of sales for SVC-Hawaii. He has been with Shell Vacations for more than nine years, starting in 1997 as a sales representative at the company’s Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, Ariz. In his new position, Ozelie directs all sales-related operations for Hawaii, which involve more than 100 salespeople and 21 managers at three sales centers (Kona, Kauai, Waikiki) with close to 36,000 clients touring these sites annually.
In other SVC Hawaii promotions at the Kona Coast Resort, Chance Bowling was recently promoted from senior sales manager to director of sales, culminating 13 years of industry experience, five of which have been with Shell.
Showcase Gallery nominated for award
Showcase Gallery of Kailua-Kona has been selected as a nominee in NICHE magazine’s 2006 Top Retailer Awards.
Showcase gallery has been nominated to receive an award in the new Top Retailer Awards program that will recognize 25 retailers and gallery owners, one retailer of the year, and give separate awards in several new categories.
NICHE magazine, the trade publication for retailers of fine American craft, will announce the winners at a July 31 ceremony during the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
